Iran’s wheat export has 6-fold increase
Tehran (ISNA) – The export of wheat
from Iran has increased by 1351 percent compared to the last year while its
import is banned which shows the self-sufficiency of this strategic product in
Iran and makes a positive trade balance for the country.
According to the latest statistics
of Iranian ministry of agriculture, during the last 9 months (from March 21,
2017) more than 276,410 thousand tons of various types of wheat with the value
of $70,780 million have been exported to the different countries.
This export volume shows an increase
of 1351,73 percent in weight and 758,98 percent in value compared to the same
period in 2016.
