Iran, Turkey review development of legal, judicial cooperation
Tehran (ISNA) - The second session
of the Iran-Turkey Strategic Joint Committee on Legal Cooperation was held in
Ankara December 26 to 29.
This session was organized to
implement the legal cooperation contract in civil and criminal cases signed 9
years ago between the two countries.
Representatives from the Iranian
ministries of justice and foreign affairs, the Judiciary and the Iranian
embassy in Ankara were welcomed by the Turkish ministry of justice in Ankara.
During this meeting, both sides
insisted on bilateral relations in the legal and judicial fields.
At the end of the session, Iranian
and Turkish officials issued a statement in which they elaborated on the
development of executive solutions for the facilitation of the transfer of
convicted persons to prison, the extradition of criminals and legal assistance
in civil and criminal affairs.
