فارسیNahid 1 satellite ready to be released into orbit of 250km above earth
Tehran (ISNA) – Nahid 1 sattelite will be handed over to Iran’s Defense Ministry in upcoming days and the ministry has planned to launch it, Iran's Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi said.
The satellite will be released into an orbit of 250 kilometers above the earth and it can stay in the space for two and a half years, he told reporters.
Explaining the capabilities and technology obtained by Iranian engineers, he added, “The satellite has mobile solar panels which will be opened and closed during the operation”.
The project has been implemented by Iranian experts and no foreign equipment is used in the project.
