IRGC smashes terror group in Kermanshah

Tehran (ISNA) – Iran’s Najaf Ashraf base of Islamic Revolution Guards Corps’ ground forces declared in a statement that a terror group was smashed in border town of Nowdeshah, Kermanshah Province.


Following the infiltration of the terror group from Nowdeshah border region in order to conduct anti-security and subversive activities, the group was detected and pursued by Najaf Ashraf base forces which led to a conflict between IRGC troops and the terrorist forces.


According to the statement, during the battle, three forces belonging to the terror group were killed by Iranian troops and one was severely injured. The terrorist group was completely smashed following the operation which led to martyrdom of an IRGC troop.


Iran’s Najaf Ashraf base of Islamic Revolution Guards Corps’ ground forces said in its statement, it has confiscated significant number of weapons, ammunitions and military equipment, insisting on intelligence awareness and comprehensive readiness of IRGC ground troops and other security forces.
