Tehran Stocks Climb 0.39%



EghtesadOnline: Tehran Stock Exchange start trading week in positive territory amid rising demand for mineral and refinery stocks and weak performance of metal stocks.

The main gauge of TSE TEDPIX gained 983.01 points or 39% on Saturday to close trading at 250,605.02. 

More than 5.31 billion shares valued at 20.7 trillion rials ($156.2 million) changed hands for the day.

Trading at TSE and Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday, Financial Tribune reported.

Melli Industrial Group was the biggest winner, as its shares went up 41.71% to 41,416 rials per share. 

Esfahan Saman Gostar Company, a construction and architecture company, incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 5% to 10,984 rials per share.

Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Tehran Oil Refining Company, Golgohar Mining and Industrial Complex, and Esfahan Oil Refining Company.   

Omid Investment Company contributed the most to the benchmark's decline, followed by Mobarakeh Steel Company, National Iranian Copper Industries Company, and Kharg Petrochemical Company. 

The Price Index gained 274.55 points to close at 69,989.8. 

First Market Index was up 680.96 points to post 185,711. Second Market Index increased by 2156.65 points to reach 493,722.7.

The Industry Index went up by 778.14 points to register 223,810.1. Free Float Index was up 907.26 points to register 280,407.

TSE 30 increased 51.61 points to settle at 11,234.2 and TSE 50 gained 57.37 points to finish at 10,114.6. 

Iran Fara Bourse’s main index IFX rose 0.05% to close Saturdays’ trade at 3,256.31 points. 

Over 1.93 billion securities valued at 9.35 trillion rials ($71 million) were traded at the junior exchange for the day.
