Qazvin wins RoboCup Asia Pacific 2018



Kish, Dec 10, IRNA – Iranian team from Qazvin Azad University with six points won the 2nd RoboCup Asia Pacific which was held in Kish Island, southern Iran.

Kerman from Iran and Singapore ranked second and third respectively.

In industrial robots category, Qazvin Azad University, Kerman University and Singapore ranked first to third respectively.

In home robot section, Malaysia ranked first. 

After defeating Japanese team in RoboCup Soccer, Qazvin ranked first.

In small size robots category, Tehran University team stood on the first place. 

Qazvin University also grabbed the first title in RoboCup Rescue and the Humanoid categories.

RoboCup Asia Pacific (RCAP) is a super-regional headquarter representing the RoboCup Federation coordinating RoboCup activities in the Asia Pacific region. RCAP headquarter is located in Singapore.

The RoboCup Federation proposed the ultimate goal of the RoboCup Initiative to be stated as follows:

“By 2050, a team of fully autonomous humanoid robot soccer players shall win a soccer game, complying with the official FIFA rules, against the winner of the most recent World Cup of Human Soccer.”
