Envoy urges improving Iran’s football status in world

Doha, Nov 27, IRNA - The Iranian ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman met with the president of the Football Federation and the accompanying delegation, calling for more efforts by officials to improve Iran's football position in the world.

“Regarding the strong interest of Iranians, especially youth, in this fascinating sports as well as the status of football in the world, we need to improve our position more than ever,' Mohammad Reza Nouri Shahroudi said.

The report added that during the meeting, president of the Football Federation Mehdi Taj presented a report on Iran’s football developments as well as the annual award ceremony of the Asian Football Confederation.

Asghar Hassanzadeh and Mehdi Javid are two Iranian candidates for the Best Futsal Player of Asia.
