فارسیIran Finishes 3rd at Sabre Fencing World Cup
TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran's outfit of sabre fencers won the bronze medal in the world cup in Tehran on Monday to stand third after Romania and Spain.
Iran defeated Belarus to finish third in the three day international competition while Romania defeated Spain to become the champion.
The event kicked off on Saturday and went on till Monday when it concluded.
Earlier on August 23, Iranian sabre fencers ranked second after South Korea in the 2018 Asian Games and received the silver medal for the event.
Iran was defeated by South Korea in the final game of the tournament on Thursday to rank second.
The Iranian athletes lost the game to South Korea 45-32.
The 18th Asian Games is underway is Indonesia as it started on August 18 and it will continue until September 2 in the Indonesian cities of Jakarta and Palembang.
