Mahabad exports $220m petchem products
Mahabad, Feb 25, IRNA – About 185,000 tons of petrochemical products worth $220m have been exported from Mahabad, northwestern Iran during the current Iranian calendar year (will end on March 20, 2018).
The city produced 247,000 tons of
petrochemicals, 90% of which have been exported to China, Turkey and India,
director general of Mahabad petrochemical company Mohsen Majidi told the
Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).
Mahabad Petrochemical Complex annually produces 300,000 tons of linear and
heavy linear polyethylene (nominal capacity) and 30,000 tons of butane for
domestic and foreign markets.
