Iran ups electricity exports to Afghanistan
Mashad, Feb 25, IRNA – Director for Taibud Electric Office Ehsan Siyahzadeh said on Sunday that 190,000 kilowatts /hour electricity exported to Afghanistan daily.
He told the Islamic Republic News
Agency (IRNA) that since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 20,
2017) more than 48,000 megawatts electricity had been exported to Afghanistan
through Dogharoun distribution post.
This amount is supplying needed electricity by Afghanistan villages close to
Dogharoun border, with 13,000 households.
Taibud city is located 225 kilometers southeast of Mashad, Khorasan Razavi
province, and is bordering Afghanistan.
