Boosting Iran-Russia cooperation, a national will: Governor General
Sari, Feb 21, IRNA – Governor General of Mazandaran province Mohammd Eslami says promoting cooperation between Tehran and Moscow is a national and provincial will, adding that there are various areas of cooperation between Mazandaran province and Russia.
In a meeting with Russian Consul
General in Rasht Konstantin Alekseev on Wednesday, he stressed the need for
bolstering bilateral relations, noting that the consul general plays a key role
in developing trade and economic ties.
“We need to boost bilateral ties between Iran and Russia and Iran is very good
friend to Russia and has proved it on several occasions,” he said.
Alekseev, for his part, appreciated Mazandaran governor general’s attention to
bilateral relations, saying, “I am determined to enhance ties between
Mazandaran and Russia.”
Noting that Russia serves as a big market for the products of Mazandaran, he
said that the province excels in economy.
The Russian diplomat also called on the Mazandaran governor general to take
part in a Forum on promotion of investment slated to be held in Russia.
