Iran ranks second in region in launch technologies, space infrastructure
Tehran (ISNA) – The head of the
Iranian National Space Center announced that Iran ranked second in the field of
launch technologies and space infrastructure in the region.
“In order to better understand
Iran's position among regional countries in the field of aerospace, we have
studied different sections of the industry,” the head of the Iranian National
Space Center Manouchehr Manteghi said about Iran position in the field of space
technology in the region.
“Therefore, we can say that Iran
ranks second in the field of launch technologies and space infrastructure,
second in space exploration sciences, fifth in remote sensing, seventh in the
telecommunications, fifth in satellite technology and second in navigation
system in the region,” he added.
“One of the purposes of the Iranian
National Space Center is to cooperation with other countries’ aerospace
organizations and centers to develop the knowledge and technologies needed for the
field,” Mr. Manteghi emphasized.
