Iran, Armenia discuss trade ties

Feb 5, IRNA – An Armenian trade delegation in a visit to Bushehr on Monday held
talks with the province's Governor General Abdol Karim Gravand on economic
issues.
In the meeting, Gravand said
considering the existence of necessary possibilities and high capacity of
investment, Bushehr is ready to expand ties with Armenia in different sectors
of economic, production and trade.
He added that the two countries have good and constructive diplomatic relations
and the two states need to bolster economic and trade ties.
Gravand reminded that interaction and strengthening ties between private
sectors of the two countries will promote economic relations and Bushehr
Chamber of Commerce is an appropriate ground for implementation of such goal.
Ambassador Tumanyan said during his 3-year stay here in Iran, many provinces
had been visited and Bushehr has special importance for his country.
He added that Bushehr province by its own high capabilities may establish a
dynamic economic connection with Armenia.
The Armenian ambassador said Iran among Armenia's neighbors has the friendliest
ties with this country.
He expressed the hope that Iranian and Armenian investors begin their
cooperation on common economic and trade spheres.
Armenia has around 3,000 kilometers area and 3 million population and located
in Caucasus Region and its capital is Yerevan.
