Iran 14th best world electricity network

Feb 5, IRNA – Deputy Head of Tavanir Distribution Company for coordination
affairs Mahmoud Reza Haqqi-Fam said on Monday that Iran's electricity network
is the 14th best world network.
Iran electricity industry both
geographically and electricity installations is a large network and has 35
million subscribers.
'I am honored to declare that electricity industry of Iran in software and
hardware has no need to other countries,' Haqqi-Fam said.
He said that past year (1395) average of electricity blackout in a day was 2.54
minutes and totally 950 minutes annually and now 'we are trying to make this
figure this year' to less than 2 minutes.
The official said that amount of electricity wastage in the country is 10.6
percent, and we are obliged to make the figure for next year to 7 or 8 percent.
He said that energy consumption in Iran is three times more than world average
and 14 times more than Japan, so it means waste of country's resources and it
should be managed.
