Croatia eager to invest in Iran’s energy sector

Feb 4, IRNA – Croatian Ambassador to Iran Stribor Kikerec said on Sunday that
his country’s companies are interested in investing in Iran’s infrastructural
projects and energy sector.
In a meeting with the Head of
Iran-Croatia Parliamentary Friendship Group Hamid Reza Fouladgar, he
highlighted deep commonalities and bonds between the two countries.
He further noted that promoting cooperation with Iran in various sectors
including energy, tourism and economy is significant for his country.
Referring to good record of cooperation between the two countries’ parliaments,
Kikerec said that Croatian Parliament supports boosting of all-out
collaboration with Iran.
Fouladgar, for his part, expressed pleasure with growing trend of mutual
cooperation in various fields, saying that Iran and Croatia boast of high
capacities for enhancing cooperation in line with mutual interests.
He further stated that parliamentary cooperation is an important backbone for
boosting friendly relations.
Complaining about low level of exchanges, he said that despite excellent
political relations between Iran and Croatia and their officials’ interest in
expanding all-out ties, bilateral economic relations are not proportionate to
political ties.
He hailed the upcoming visit of Croatian Parliamentary Friendship Group to
Tehran, saying that the trip indicates willingness to promote economic and
trade relations between the two countries.
