2nd meeting of Governing Council of APDIM held in Tehran

Tehran (ISNA) – The second meeting of Governing Council of the Asian and Pacific Centre for the Development of Disaster Information Management (APDIM) began Tuesday morning in Tehran.

The head of Iran’s Planning and Budget Organization Mohammad Bagher Nobakht, the UN Under-Secretary-General Shamshad Akhtar and representatives of 25 countries from Asia-Pacific attend the meeting.

In addition to expert negotiations on exchanging experiences to reduce natural disasters, it is expected that the Asian and Pacific Centre for the Development of Disaster Information Management (APDIM) as a regional institution of United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) will be inaugurated in Tehran.
