Iranian films including “Sunless Shadows” directed by Mehrdad Oskouei, “Son-Mother” by Mahnaz Mohammadi, “Coup 53” by Taghi Amirani, and “Among the Hills” by Mohammad Reza Keyvanfar will be screened at the Five Continents section of the event.

“A Moon for My Father” directed by Mania Akbari and Douglas White, and co-produced by Iran, UK and Germany, is another Iranian film which will be screened at the Visionaries section.

“The Manchador” directed by Kaveh Tehrani and co-produced by Iran and Norway as well as “Zhirleh” by Bahar Rouhani will be also screened at the Focus: Feminism section of the festival.

The 43rd edition of Göteborg Film Festival has been started from January 24 and will run through February 3, 2020.

The festival attracts around 160,000 visitors. During the festival period, about 450 films from some 80 countries will be shown in about 1,000 screenings.
