During the event held on September 28-29 in San Francisco, ‘Axing’ directed by Behrooz Shoaibi won the major awards including, Best Feature Film, Best Director, Best Actor (Amin Hayaei), Best Actress (Sara Bahrami) and Best Screenplay (Hossein Torabnejad and Azita Iraee).

Acclaimed cinematographer, Alireza Zarrindast also won the 2019 Sepanta Award of the Best Cinematography for ‘White Fish Season’ and ‘Song of God’ directed by Aref Mohammadi won the Best Documentary award.

‘Short Wave’ by Mohammad Esmaeili won the Best Short Film and Best Short Director awards at the festival.
