Iranian female chess player among world's 20 bests



Tehran, Dec 1, IRNA – Iranian chess player Sarasadat Khademalsharieh ranked 19 in the new ranking of the best chess players in the world, wrote the World Chess Federation (FIDE) on its website on Saturday.

Ranking 19, Khademalsharieh moved up 11 steps in the ranking from her last month place.

In the top 100 players announced December 1, another Iranian chess player Parham Maghsoodloo ranked 55.

In the new ranking, Iran placed 25th in the world and thirds in Asia. This is while Iran was 51st in the world and sixth in Asia in the beginning of 2015.
