فارسی16 Iranian scholars on list of Highly Cited Researchers
Tehran, Nov 28, IRNA -The Head of the Islamic World Science Citation Database (ISC) reported that 16 Iranian scientists were included in the world Highly Cited Researchers’ list in 2018.
Mohammad Javad Dehqani said, “Every year, WOS database publishes a list of Highly Cited Researchers”, according to the Islamic World Science Citation Database (ISC).
“On this list, influential researchers at the world level, who play a high role in the transmission of science and knowledge on the international arena, are identified and introduced in this list,” he added.
According to ISC, the list covers only Highly Cited articles in social sciences and science magazines that have been published and invoked in WOS website during 2006-2016 period.
These articles are derived from Essential Science Indicators (ESI), and only a percentage of the privileged writers who have an article on the site are listed in Highly Cited Researchers, he said.
