Iran Beheshti, N. Ireland's Ulster universities to cooperate



Tehran, Nov 27, IRNA - Iran's Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences’ Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research (ACECR) and University of Ulster of Northern Ireland agreed to hold joint courses on mental health and academic cooperation.

Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences’ ACECR has held a meeting with faculty members at the University of Ulster in Northern Ireland with a view to set up joint academic courses in the field of mental health and establishing scientific exchanges with the Ulster University.

At the meeting, Alireza Bahrami chairman of Center for Education, Culture and Research of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences highlighted the necessity of drafting a written plan to train specialists in the field of mental health and within the framework of international training, under the supervision of local specialists.

Meanwhile, Professor McGinnity said that in all countries in the world there are flaws in different fields of health, especially mental health, because there are generally academic and basic courses in all countries and universities, but they are not very practical.

“The Ulster University has the readiness to exchange scholarly information,' said Professor McGinnity. “The meeting was decided to conclude a cooperation agreement between the two sides following the formulation of the plan.”
